Midtown Global Market welcomes visitors to capture and share their experiences. To ensure the safety, comfort, and privacy of our vendors and guests, the following rules apply to all photography and video inside the Market.
1. Personal Photography & Video
Personal, handheld photography and video are allowed, provided that guests:
Do not block walkways or disrupt traffic flow
Do not interfere with vendor operations
Do not film minors without a parent or guardian’s consent
Stop filming if anyone requests not to be included
Photography of staff-only areas, back-of-house spaces, or vendor preparation areas is not permitted.
2. Vendor Permission
Each vendor controls photography within their own space. Visitors must receive permission before:
Filming inside a vendor stall
Filming vendor staff or close-up product shots
Entering behind counters or work areas
Vendors may display “No Photography” or “Ask Before Filming” signage that must be respected.
3. Commercial or Professional Filming
All commercial, professional, or monetized photography and video require advance written approval from Midtown Global Market management or Friends of Global Market.
This includes:
TV or media segments
Documentaries and interviews
Advertising or promotional content
Influencer shoots requiring equipment, staging, or multiple takes
Any shoot using tripods, lighting, reflectors, or professional gear

4. Events & Performances
During Midtown Global Market or Friends of Global Market events, guests may be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. Notices may be posted at entry points.
Event attendees who prefer not to be photographed should speak with event staff.
Performers and presenters may be required to sign media releases.
5. Minors
Close-up photography or video of minors requires parental or guardian consent. General crowd shots where minors are not identifiable are permitted.
6. Drones
Drones are not permitted inside Midtown Global Market without permission.
7. Safety & Conduct
Market staff may limit or stop photography or filming if it:
Creates congestion
Interferes with vendor business
Poses safety concerns
Disrupts events or performers
Violates privacy or consent
Respectful and culturally sensitive filming is required at all times.
