Hoyo Sambusa- Grand Opening

Big news from Hoyo Sambusa! The beloved makers of authentic Somali sambusas (beef & lentil) and bold, flavorful sauces (Tamarind-Date & Basbaas) are growing.

To meet rising demand, Hoyo is opening a new commercial food production facility at Midtown Global Market — join them for the Grand Opening on Tuesday, June 17, from 3:30–6:00 PM.

There will be a ribbon cutting at 5:00 PM on stage in the Central Court, tours of the facility, and samples of their delicious sambusas.

From co-ops to classrooms, Hoyo’s sambusa are now available in over 62 stores and served in 30+ Minnesota school districts, reaching more than 300,000 students. Starting July 7, you’ll also find them at Lunds & Byerly’s.

Founded by sisters Mariam, Halima, Asha Mohamed, and Matt Glover, Hoyo continues to empower Somali women and bring Somali cuisine to tables across the Midwest.
