Event Goals

  • Highlight the literary contributions of Minnesota’s female authors across diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Provide a platform for women authors to showcase and sell their work.

  • Foster community engagement through storytelling, book signings, and interactive sessions.

  • Support literacy and celebrate the power of women’s voices.

This event is supported by Strive Publishing and Bookstore that aims to inspire community collaboration through publishing stories to heal, teach, learn, and earn, while building an ecosystem that embodies a rich Black culture and heritage.

Join us for a morning full of fun March 15! We’ve got a great lineup of FREE classes starting at 10:30 AM:

10:30 AM- Kids Yoga with Miss Lydia

11:00 AM- Rockin' Robins Music & Movement Class with Blue Tree Music. Please note: There will be a brief break between classes to set up for the music session.

Kids’ menus are available, so stick around and enjoy a meal with us.

Parking: Street parking and ramp parking are available. Ramp parking is located on 10th Ave and Lake Street.

Authors & Illustrators Book Fair

Check out Midtown Global Market’s 2nd Annual Authors & Illustrators Book Fair on Saturday, August 2, from Noon. – 3 p.m. The Market will be packed with books, authors, and literary fun with a focus on Picture Books through Young Adult. Discover new characters, meet talented local writers, and support Minnesota’s literary community.

The free event gives all the chance to stop by and donate new or gently used books as well. There will also be face painting, storytelling, and amazing food from the Market’s restaurants. Whether you’re a bookworm, aspiring author, or just looking for a fun and unique weekend activity, this is the perfect event.

This event is supported by Strive Publishing and Bookstore that aims to inspire community collaboration through publishing stories to heal, teach, learn, and earn, while building an ecosystem that embodies a rich Black culture and heritage.

• Proceeds benefit Friends of Global Market, a nonprofit supporting the Midtown Global Market’s mission to foster small businesses, cultural diversity, and free/low-cost programming.
