Midtown Global Market is excited to celebrate its newest entrepreneur and business, CyNyChi Hair Car, during a ribbon cutting and grand opening celebration on Friday, March 8 at noon. Please note- the salon will be open from 10am-6pm.

Owner Emmatine Ukwuoma is a licensed cosmetologist, experienced natural hair culturist, and entrepreneur for 23 years. Her passion for healthy hair led to the opening of her first salon in Michigan called Styles of Afrika. In 2021, Ukwuoma relocated to Minnesota and opened CyNyChi Natural Hair Care, a salon specializing in all phases of natural healthy hair care, in Brooklyn Park. Now, she’s moved her business inside Midtown Global Market.

Ukwuoma’s goal is to empower black women to normalize using high-quality natural ingredients on their hair. She’s launched her own all-natural, plant-based hair care line targeting damaged hair. The products are organic certified, ISO certified, and FDA approved. The line is fragrance-free, sulfate-free, has no artificial colors, and the hand-picked ingredients are meant to target hair loss, dryness, slow growing, brittle, and damaged hair.

During the grand opening celebration, CyNyChi Hair Care will be offering customers 20% off on all natural plant-based hair and body products, as well as samples of the whipped body butter.
